It was time again for a new website with a fundamental change in technology: Instead of WordPress, we now use Grav to bring content (maintained in the editor via Markdown) online with a CI/CD pipeline. Finally. 😉
We launched WordPress on 2021-05-20, the bilingualism of the site came on 2022-02-09. After the initial excitement – after all, this was the time we switched from Contao to WordPress – more and more basic things started to bother us: The fiddling with content creation in the browser (slow: Elementor). The structure. The relative helplessness when the Google indexer complained about the site's loading time. The confusing and qualitatively extremely heterogeneous plugin situation. And so on and so forth.
If you know us or follow our blog, you know that we don't hesitate for long. So over lunch we decided to switch to Grav, which we had installed a few months ago at the request of a customer using LFOps(thanks, Thomas!).
